Arthritis nutrition: Anti-inflammatory meal
Inflammatory and metabolic arthritis
We treat patients with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis and gout.
Arthritis is not a single disease. Arthritis refers to inflammation of joints, and it may affect other body systems. Common joint symptoms include swelling, pain, stiffness and bone deformity. Symptoms may be mild, moderate or severe. We use a combination of examination, laboratory and special studies to diagnose your arthritis and rule out other causes. Some patients already have a diagnosis, and we can quickly enter into a treatment plan.
We personalize your treatment plan because no two patients are alike. Your dietary prescription will address your individual issues, especially the control of inflammation using food, herbs or prescription medicines. Because many arthritis drugs deplete nutrients that must be replaced with food or supplementation, we monitor your diet and laboratory values to determine your specific needs over time.
Many arthritis patients benefit from physical exercise and therapy to control pain and swelling, and improve joint range of motion. We provide physical medicine services and exercise programs at our facility. Contact us to find out more.
