Gut dysfunction

Celiac, GERD, gluten sensitivity, IBD and IBS

We provide nutrition therapy and physical medicine for patients with all types of gut dysfunction. Gut dysfunction is not a single disease. However, problems of the digestive tract respond favorably to lifestyle changes, diet, nutrition and medication.

We use a combination of examination, laboratory and special studies to diagnose you and rule out other conditions. Some patients already have a diagnosis, and we can quickly enter into a treatment plan. We address the special nutrition requirements related to your disease and its treatment. Our treatment goal is to stop your symptoms, heal any existing stomach or intestinal damage and prevent further damage. We monitor your dietary habits and laboratory values to determine your nutritional requirements over time.

Many patients with gut dysfunction benefit from spinal manipulation and other forms of physical medicine. These therapies help regulate digestion, absorption of nutrients and alleviate stress by stimulating communication between the enteric nervous system, also called the “gut-brain axis,” and the spinal cord and brain. We provide physical medicine services at our facility.  Contact us to find out more.
