Prenatal, pregnancy and postpartum care

We work with you and your healthcare team to provide personalized prenatal, pregnancy and breastfeeding nutrition plans. We consider your special dietary needs, including women who have pre-existing health problems or develop health problems during pregnancy.

Prenatal nutrition can improve your fertility, keep you healthy during pregnancy, and make labor easier. During each trimester of pregnancy, we take into account your height, prepregnancy weight, due date and caloric needs to customize your plan.

Your nutritional needs change during breastfeeding, and we help you adjust your diet to provide optimal vitamins and minerals that you and your baby need. We also provide guidelines and dietary recommendations for feeding your infant and toddler. Contact us to find out more.

Pregnancy-related back pain

Expectant mothers experience back pain related to weight gain and postural changes

Pregnancy-related back pain

Low back and pelvic pain is a common symptom of pregnancy. Many pregnant women experience back pain related to weight gain and postural changes. Hormones are another cause of pregnancy related back pain. Hormonal changes cause your ligaments to relax, especially the ligaments in your low back and pelvis in preparation for childbirth. These changes may cause joint pain, and some women also experience radiating nerve pain, called sciatica.

We perform a physical examination to diagnose the problem, and we talk to you about your treatment options. Many patients benefit from physical medicine to relieve symptoms. Our treatment goal is to stabilize your joints and reduce your pain. We provide physical medicine services at our facility. Contact us to find out more.
